Not only has she cast aside her given name but she also buried all memories and feeling for her lost family deep inside her.

Biography

Born on the moon Dysnomia (meaning "lawlessness"), Dark Flame was raised in a family of agricultural servants working under the oppressive rule of Eris's nobility. As the 5th generation of her lineage bound to this servitude, she spent her childhood cultivating exotic fruits on artificially maintained fields, working from dawn to dusk while also managing household duties and caring for younger siblings. The isolation of Dysnomia, combined with her family's subservient nature, fostered a deep resentment within her. By age 16, she was already approaching complete burnout from the relentless routine and dreamed of escaping to explore other galaxies.

The Incident

At 16, while working alone during her family's absence, Dark Flame accidentally caused a catastrophic fire when her harvesting vehicle leaked fuel near the massive mirrors used to reflect sunlight for crop growth. The entire moon became engulfed in flames, visible from Eris itself. Fleeing to Eris in the family's last functional spacecraft, she was met not with relief but with accusations and blame. Her own mother publicly declared she wished Dark Flame had never been born, cementing her complete rejection by those who should have loved her.

The Eris authorities sentenced Dark Flame to weeks of public torture, bound to a post in the main square. Her parents, given the choice between their child's suffering or family exile, chose to sacrifice her. This betrayal marked the final severing of all familial bonds.

Liberation

Near death, Dark Flame was rescued by a group of Stellar Bandits who found the public torture too inhumane even by criminal standards. They destroyed much of the settlement and took her as one of their own, becoming her true family.

Following the Eris massacre, Dark Flame became the right hand of the Stellar Bandit leader and eventually their romantic partner. Over 11 years, she has built her criminal empire according to her own desires.

Family Background

Dark Flame's family represented five generations of agricultural servants bound to the ruling elite of Eris. They were tasked with cultivating exotic fruits on Dysnomia due to the crops' specific atmospheric requirements.
